The Vice Chancellor of Northwest University Kano (NWUK), Professor Amina Salihi Bayero, has completed a week-long executive leadership training programme on organisational performance, sustainable leadership and Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation in London, United Kingdom.
The programme, organised by Prospect Development Services (PDS) in collaboration with WOFAN, brought together senior executives, institutional leaders and board members from various sectors to strengthen leadership capacity and improve organisational performance in an increasingly technology-driven environment.
Participants received their certificates during a graduation ceremony held at the Royal Institution of Great Britain in London after successfully completing the intensive training.
Professor Amina Salihi Bayero was among a delegation from Kano State that attended the programme.
Other participants included the Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, Professor Haruna Musa; the Vice Chancellor of Capital City University, Professor Yusuf Bala Daraja; Dr Saleh Anka; the Publisher of Solacebase Newspaper, Abdullatif Abubakar Jos; members of the WOFAN team; and other executives from different organisations.
The training featured sessions on strategic leadership, organisational performance improvement, innovative problem-solving, sustainable leadership practices and the application of Artificial Intelligence in institutional governance and decision-making.
The university said Professor Bayero’s participation reflects Northwest University Kano’s commitment to leadership development, innovation and the adoption of global best practices in university administration.
It added that the knowledge acquired during the programme would support the institution’s efforts to improve service delivery, strengthen institutional performance and advance its goal of becoming a globally competitive centre of academic excellence through innovative leadership and strategic partnerships.
