Councillors representing Fagolo in Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State have commended the Member of the House of Representatives representing Bichi Federal Constituency, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar, popularly known as Abba Bichi, for executing several development projects in the community.
The councillors made the commendation in a statement issued to journalists in Calabar by Jamila Abdullahi Rijiyar Lemo.
According to the statement, Abba Bichi recently commissioned electricity projects, a mosque and an Islamic school in Fagolo, describing the projects as significant interventions aimed at improving the living conditions of residents.
The spokesperson for the councillors, Habibu Musa Habibu, said the entire councillors were delighted with the development projects executed by the lawmaker.
“We are very happy. No amount of words can adequately express our gratitude and happiness today. We are all overwhelmed by the projects executed by Abba Bichi,” he said.
The councillors also highlighted several road projects undertaken by the lawmaker, including the construction of roads linking Fagolo to Wajila, Fagolo to Kungu and Yatsi, as well as Saye to Fatau and Kungu, Baura to Kadage, and Jauro to Yatsi.
They further said a road connecting Fagolo to Jarkasa and Yallami had also been constructed as part of the constituency development projects.
Other projects listed include the construction of an Islamiyya school with eight classrooms within the mosque premises, extension of electricity supply to the area, and the provision of a solar-powered borehole to improve access to water.
The statement added that the Kungu electricity project was nearing completion and would soon be commissioned.
Abba Bichi, according to the statement, has also pledged to execute additional projects, particularly in the areas of road infrastructure and electricity supply.
Speaking during one of the project engagements, the lawmaker assured residents that electricity workers from the relevant power authorities would continue working to ensure that communities across the area benefit from the electricity project.
He said the objective was to extend electricity supply to as many communities as possible.
The woman leader of the area, Malama Hadiza Hassan, also expressed appreciation to Abba Bichi for his intervention in the community, describing the projects as beneficial to residents.
The lawmaker was also said to have donated vehicles and other valuables as part of his support for the constituency.
