The Adamawa State Police Command has charged its officers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism.
It also called on the public to continue cooperating with the police to maintain safety and security in the state.
In his inaugural address, the newly posted Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, emphasized the importance of discipline, integrity, and respect for human rights in the discharge of duties.
He noted that effective policing can only be achieved through a strong partnership between the police and the communities they serve.
He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to tackling crime, maintaining law and order, and safeguarding lives and property in Adamawa State.
Hassan therefore urged officers to remain dedicated, vigilant, and responsive to the needs of the people.
While highlighting the role of community engagement, the Police boss encouraged residents to provide timely and useful information that could aid security operations.
He also assured that all reports would be treated with confidentiality and professionalism.
He further stressed that the command would not tolerate misconduct or abuse of office, warning officers that anyone found culpable would face disciplinary action in accordance with the law.
At the end of his address, CP Hassan assured the people of Adamawa State of a renewed focus on intelligence-driven policing and proactive measures aimed at preventing crime and enhancing public trust in the Nigeria Police Force.
