As Nasir Idris submitted his nomination form and successfully scaled the screening process, supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have intensified mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Shortly after the screening exercise, Governor Idris commended the national leadership of the party for providing a level playing field that enabled members and aspirants to exercise their democratic rights through a transparent process.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Abdullahi Idris Saudakin Zuru, the Kebbi State Governor expressed profound appreciation to APC stakeholders, party members, and the people of Kebbi State for the trust and confidence reposed in his administration.

Governor Idris later returned to Birnin Kebbi, where he received a warm welcome from prominent politicians, senior government officials, family members, and supporters.

Meanwhile, a non-governmental organization known as No Vacancy Network, established to promote the continuity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Idris beyond 2027, has expanded its presence across several states, including Kebbi, where it has commenced public enlightenment campaigns.

The Kebbi State chapter of the organization, led by Coordinator Hon. Nasiru Turakin Masama, paid a courtesy visit to the governor’s Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy and conferred on him the title of Patron of the organization in the state.

During the presentation ceremony, the coordinator praised the adviser’s commitment and dedication towards promoting the continuity of President Tinubu and Governor Idris beyond the 2027 elections.

Part of the appointment letter read: “In recognition of your commitment to the continuity of President Bola Tinubu and Comrade Governor Nasir Idris, No Vacancy Network has appointed you as Patron of the organization in Kebbi State.”

Observers say Kebbi State has witnessed notable transformation in critical sectors through the implementation of development projects and programmes under Governor Idris’s administration over the past three years.

The administration of President Tinubu was also credited with supporting infrastructure development, socio-economic empowerment, healthcare delivery, agriculture, and security interventions in Kebbi State.

Among the key projects highlighted is the proposed 1,068-kilometre Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway, with about 250 kilometres expected to pass through Kebbi State to enhance economic and social activities along the corridor.

Other notable projects include the federal government’s approval for the Kebbi State Government to reconstruct the abandoned Koko-Zuru federal road, as well as the construction of the Natsini-Kangiwa-Kamba, Zaima-Zuru-Gamji, Malando-Warrah, and Birnin Yauri-Rijau-Zuru roads.

The report also acknowledged the Federal Government’s interventions in agriculture, healthcare, economic empowerment, and support towards tackling security challenges in the state.

Two weeks ago, APC stakeholders and political associates organized what was described as the fourth Unity Rally in the state, attracting thousands of party supporters who reaffirmed their loyalty and commitment to the party’s success ahead of future elections.

The rally reportedly passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu and Governor Idris, endorsing both leaders for a second term in office.

Supporters of the governor maintained that allegations and political attacks against the administration would not diminish public confidence in Governor Nasir Idris, popularly known as Kauran Gwandu.

With the successful submission of nomination forms and completion of the screening exercise, APC supporters say the party is fully prepared to commence campaigns at the appropriate time ahead of the 2027 general elections.
