The Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has congratulated Muslims in Kano State and across the country on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

Governor Yusuf described Eid-el-Kabir as a significant period that teaches the values of sacrifice, obedience, patience, and compassion.

He urged Muslims to uphold the teachings and lessons of the holy festival in their daily lives.

The Governor called on residents of Kano State to celebrate the Sallah period peacefully, avoid acts capable of disrupting public peace, and continue to demonstrate love, tolerance, and mutual respect toward one another.

He also urged parents and guardians to advise their children against reckless behaviour during the festivities, while appealing to youths to remain law-abiding and cooperate with security agencies.

Governor Yusuf further encouraged citizens to use the festive period to pray for peace, unity, and continued development in Kano State and Nigeria.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to policies and programmes aimed at improving the lives of the people and ensuring sustainable development across the state.

He also congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and his fellow governors on the peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

Governor Yusuf wished Muslims a successful and memorable Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
