Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of a prominent political leader in Rogo Local Government Area, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna Zoza, who died at the age of 68.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad.

The Governor described the late Zoza as a committed grassroots politician, a respected community leader, and a man who dedicated his life to the service of his people and the advancement of democratic values.

Governor Yusuf noted that the death of Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna Zoza is a great loss not only to the people of Rogo but also to Kano State as a whole, considering his immense contributions to political development and community cohesion, particularly during his service as a councillor in the old Gwarzo Local Government Area about 40 years ago.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, associates, and the people of Rogo the strength to bear the loss.

The late Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna Zoza is survived by three wives, 21 children, and 31 grandchildren, and was buried in accordance with Islamic rites in Rogo Local Government Area.
