Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep condolences to the family, relatives, associates and the people of Kano State over the death of Alhaji Sani Lawan Kofar Mata, former Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Sunday.
Governor Yusuf described the death of Alhaji Sani Lawan Kofar Mata as a great loss to Kano State, noting his contributions to public service and the welfare of the people, particularly in the area of pilgrims’ affairs.
The Governor said the deceased would be remembered for his service to the state and his contributions to the development of the pilgrims’ welfare system.
Governor Yusuf prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus and give his family, friends and the people of Kano the strength to bear the loss.
He urged the family to take solace in the fact that death is inevitable and prayed that Allah reward the deceased for his service to humanity.
