From Mustapha Saye, Kaduna

The Barakallahu Community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State successfully observed this year’s Eid-el-Kabir prayers in a peaceful atmosphere, as Muslims in the area joined their counterparts across the country to celebrate the festival.

Delivering his sermon shortly after the prayers, the Chief Imam of Barakallahu, Mallam Muhammad Amin, urged Muslims to remain steadfast in prayers and continue seeking Allah’s divine intervention to end banditry, kidnapping, and other security challenges confronting the nation.

The Chief Imam also called on Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, tolerance, and mutual understanding, stressing that only through collective efforts and sincere prayers can the country overcome its present difficulties.

He further advised Muslim faithful to uphold the lessons of sacrifice, obedience, and compassion which Eid-el-Kabir symbolizes, while also extending support to the less privileged in society.

Some residents who spoke after the prayers expressed gratitude to Allah for witnessing another peaceful Sallah celebration and prayed for lasting peace, security, and economic stability in the country.

The Eid prayers and other activities ended peacefully without any reported incident.
