The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, Oluwaseun Faleye, has received an Award of Excellence from the Women Commission of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria in recognition of his leadership and commitment to gender equity.
The award was presented during the International Women’s Day celebration and award night organised by the commission in Abuja on Wednesday.
Presenting the award, the Chairperson of the TUC Women Commission, Esther Asabe Ahmadu, said Faleye was honoured for his “visionary leadership, integrity and outstanding service, which have inspired progress and lasting impact.”
She added that the recognition was also in appreciation of his “unwavering support and strong commitment to advancing gender equality, promoting decent work, and protecting the rights and dignity of women in the world of work.”
According to her, the NSITF boss has demonstrated a strong commitment to building an inclusive workplace through initiatives that empower women and strengthen social protection for workers.
While receiving the award, Faleye expressed appreciation to the commission for recognising his efforts.
“I dedicate this award to the hardworking staff of the renewed NSITF, without whom these achievements would not have been possible,” he said.
He reiterated his commitment to promoting gender inclusion and ensuring safe and healthy workplaces for workers.
The event formed part of activities marking the International Women’s Day 2026 celebration.
