The Director of the APC Kano Professional Women Directorate, Dr. Maryam Shettima Ibrahim, has commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his leadership and development vision, saying his administration has encouraged professional women to contribute more meaningfully to governance and development.

Dr. Shetty expressed confidence in the governor’s leadership, noting that his approach to governance had strengthened her optimism about the future of Kano State and its people.

She stressed that effective leadership was essential to achieving sustainable development, adding that women professionals had important roles to play in supporting initiatives that promote progress in Kano State, Nigeria and beyond.

According to her, the APC Kano Professional Women platform was designed to bring together women from different professional backgrounds, including medical doctors, pharmacists, physiotherapists, entrepreneurs and other skilled professionals, to promote collaboration and development.

She explained that the organisation would identify the needs and challenges facing professional women and develop programmes to address them, both before and after elections.

Dr. Shetty said the initiative would also provide a platform for women to contribute their expertise, skills and experience to community development.

She called on eligible professional women across Kano State to register with the organisation to enable it to identify their interests, understand their challenges and develop programmes that would benefit them.

The director disclosed that interested women could obtain further information and register through the organisation’s website, www.apckanoprofessionalwomen.org.

She also expressed support for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying collective commitment and cooperation would advance the interests of professional women and contribute to the development of Kano State.

Dr. Shetty expressed optimism that the platform would strengthen the participation of professional women in development initiatives and create opportunities for them to contribute to the progress of the state.
