The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Hon Murtala Sule Garo, on Monday hosted the leadership of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Kano State chapter, led by Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan, during a courtesy visit in Kano.
The meeting focused on issues relating to the development and progress of Kano State, as well as ways of strengthening collaboration in advancing the state’s socio-economic and religious objectives.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Prof. Pakistan expressed appreciation to the Kano State Government and conveyed the organisation’s gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the Hajj slots allocated to JIBWIS.
He described the gesture as a demonstration of the administration’s commitment to supporting religious organisations and promoting the welfare of the people.
According to him, the allocation reflected the government’s recognition of the role religious bodies play in fostering peace, unity and social development.
He also pledged the organisation’s continued support for policies and programmes aimed at improving the lives of Kano residents.
Responding, Gwarzo thanked the delegation for the visit and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to working closely with religious leaders and other stakeholders to promote peace, unity and sustainable development.
He noted that the administration would continue to engage religious organisations in its efforts to deliver good governance and improve the wellbeing of citizens across the state.
The deputy governor also called for sustained prayers and support for the government as it pursues its development agenda.
