Kano State Deputy Governor, Murtala Sule Garo, has urged Muslims to emulate the exemplary character and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in their daily lives.
Garo made the call on Saturday while representing Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at a Maulud gathering organised by a former Chairman of Dala Local Government Council, Ibrahim Sulaiman Dan-Isle Dodar, at Mambayya House, Gwammaja, in Dala Local Government Area of the state.
He said the Prophet was known for truthfulness, honesty, trustworthiness, justice, kindness and love, particularly towards children.
The deputy governor urged Muslims to reflect those virtues in their conduct, stressing that demonstrating love for the Prophet should go beyond celebrating his birth.
According to him, Muslims should reform their lives by upholding good character, punctuality in prayers, honesty and respect for parents, neighbours and fellow Muslims.
“Demonstrating love for the Prophet goes beyond celebration. It requires us to reform our lives and uphold good character, punctuality in prayers, honesty and respect for our parents, neighbours and fellow Muslims,” Garo said.
He also called on parents and community leaders to teach younger generations about the life and exemplary conduct of Prophet Muhammad.
Garo said such teachings would help young people develop good morals and become responsible members of society.
