Former Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, has commended the contributions of past leaders to the development of the state, noting that they served the people to the best of their abilities.

He also commended the people of Zamfara State for their support, commitment and perseverance despite the security challenges that have affected the state for more than a decade.

Matawalle called on the people of the state to continue supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He particularly commended President Tinubu for the ongoing Zaria–Funtua–Gusau–Sokoto dual carriageway project, saying its completion would enhance economic activities, transportation networks and security across the North-West states.

He expressed optimism that the APC would record significant electoral success in Zamfara State and other North-West states in the 2027 general elections.

Matawalle also urged Nigerians to continue praying for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and leaders at all levels to enable them to implement policies and programmes aimed at promoting the development of the country.

While marking Zamfara State’s 30th anniversary and Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, he urged Nigerians to support continuity in governance.

He specifically called on Nigerians to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for a second term in the 2027 general elections, saying continuity would enable the administration to build on its ongoing programmes and policies.
