The current Director of the Kano Educational Resources Department (KERD), Hajiya Rabi Hussain, a seasoned administrator, has expressed deep appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for upgrading the department to a full Directorate.

Speaking during an interview with our correspondent, Hajiya Rabi Hussain said she remains committed to implementing the governor’s directives and driving the transformation of the Directorate.

She noted that through her experience and administrative knowledge, she is working to reposition KERD from its previously dilapidated condition to a more modern and globally competitive institution.

According to her, the Directorate has now become a standard parastatal following its elevation by the state government, describing the development as a major milestone in the education sector.

Hajiya Rabi further described Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf as a “God-sent leader” to Kano State, stating that his administration has positively impacted all sectors, especially education.

She added that, unlike previous administrations, the current government has given serious attention to education and is committed to transforming the sector with a clear vision and mission.

The Director reaffirmed the commitment of the KERD family to continue supporting the present administration, expressing optimism for continued progress in the state.

“From now and beyond, the KERD family will continue to support the governor’s administration,” she said.
