The Kano State House of Assembly member representing Tarauni Local Government Area, Kabiru Dahiru Sule, has distributed 81 motorcycles to party activists and contract committee members in the area.
The lawmaker, popularly known as ADS, also appointed seven advisers on various areas and presented them with their appointment letters at a ceremony held at the premises of the Kano State House of Assembly.
The development was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Information Officer of Tarauni Local Government, Adamu Iliyasu Hotoro.
Sule said the motorcycles were provided to support individuals who had contributed to the activities of the party at the ward and local government levels.
“These beneficiaries were carefully selected from the wards across Tarauni Local Government Area to ensure equitable distribution of the empowerment initiative,” Sule said.

He said the gesture was intended to ease transportation and movement for party activists, particularly in carrying out community and party-related activities across Tarauni Local Government Area.
“The programme was designed to enable beneficiaries to establish sustainable means of livelihood while giving constituents the opportunity to enjoy the dividends of democracy,” the lawmaker said.
Sule said the initiative was also introduced in recognition of the contributions of party activists and APC leaders to strengthening the party and taking its messages to the people.
He said thousands of constituents had benefited from various empowerment programmes since he assumed office, adding that additional empowerment packages would be provided to 300 women and youths in the coming weeks.
The lawmaker said his interventions had included cash empowerment ranging from N50,000 to N1m, as well as the distribution of cars, motorcycles and other support aimed at improving the standard of living of constituents.
“These are part of our efforts to improve the standard of living of our constituents and ensure that they benefit from democratic representation,” he said.
Sule expressed appreciation to Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Speaker of the state House of Assembly Jibril Isma’il Falgore, APC leaders in Tarauni and the Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad Sekure, for their support and cooperation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Sekure commended the lawmaker for his humanitarian and development activities in the local government.
He said the motorcycles would improve transportation and mobility for the beneficiaries and enable them to carry out their responsibilities more effectively.
The APC Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Sani Usman S.A., APC Federal House of Representatives candidate, Nasir Bala Aminu Ja’o’ji, Magaji Bishara and Yakubu Yarima Shekarau also pledged continued support for initiatives aimed at assisting residents of the local government.
They urged the beneficiaries to use the motorcycles responsibly and ensure that the gesture contributed to unity, peace and development in Tarauni.
The event was attended by the Commissioner of the Pension Commission, Hajiya Zuwaira; Sadiq Ahmed Shugaba, Jarman Wudil; the Governor’s Adviser, Karma Abdullahi Sabo Abubakar; the Vice Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Khalid Ayuba; APC ward chairmen from the 10 wards and other political and community leaders.
