The New Democratic Congress (NDC) aspirant for the Minjibir Constituency seat in the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasiru Garba Kunya, has declared that the welfare of youths and women will remain his major priority if elected.

Hon. Kunya, a long-time loyalist of the Kwankwasiyya movement, made the statement at his office recently when a large number of youths from Kunya town visited to show their support for his ambition.

The aspirant assured the people of Minjibir Constituency that, if given the mandate, he would provide a different style of representation and ensure that the interests of the people are properly presented at the State Assembly.

According to him, Minjibir Local Government is fortunate to have a politically conscious population that understands the role of politics in bringing development, especially to rural communities.

He urged residents across Kano State to participate in the voters’ card registration exercise, stressing that the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) remains the major tool through which citizens can choose their preferred leaders.

Hon. Nasiru Garba Kunya also prayed for peace and stability in Nigeria, Kano State, and Minjibir Local Government, calling on citizens to support efforts that promote unity and development.

Meanwhile, a large gathering of youths in Kunya town expressed their support for the aspiration of Nasiru Garba Kunya.
