The Grand Khadi of Katsina State, Prof. Mahammed Kabir, has commended the state government for the timely release of funds aimed at strengthening the operations of the Sharia Court of Appeal in the state.
Speaking with journalists, Prof. Kabir said the administration of Governor Dikko Umar Radda has, within its three years in office, recorded significant improvements in the administration of Sharia justice and the overall judicial system.
He noted that the construction of new offices and conference halls has created a more conducive environment for judicial officers and staff to discharge their duties effectively.
According to him, the government has also provided new vehicles and other working materials to Khadis and staff, enabling them to carry out their responsibilities without unnecessary difficulties.
The Grand Khadi further stated that the government continues to sponsor training and retraining programmes for judicial staff in line with global best practices, aimed at improving efficiency and service delivery.
“The Sharia Court of Appeal has witnessed transformation under the Dikko Umar Radda administration.
“The government has ensured our financial autonomy and is not interfering in our day-to-day operations. We are given all necessary encouragement to discharge our duties effectively,” he said.
He pledged that the Sharia Court of Appeal would continue to operate strictly in line with Sharia principles as contained in the Holy Qur’an and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).
Prof. Kabir also called on Muslims in the state to fear Allah in their daily conduct and continue to pray for lasting peace and stability in Katsina State.
