No fewer than 500 people have benefited from an empowerment programme of N60,000 each and farming inputs.

Hon. Abubakar Babazango, a member representing Yola North, Yola South and Girei Federal Constituency of Adamawa state, said in fulfilment of his campaign promises, he empowers 500 people with N60,000 each, 500 bags of fertilizer and thousands of agricultural farming inputs.

Also, in the empowerment program, he trained over 500 people, both men and women, in various skills, including animal rearing in modern techniques.

This is part of Hon. Babazango’s efforts to promote self-sufficiency and economic growth to the people of his constituency by equipping and impacting the participants with the knowledge and resources needed to start their own ventures.

At the end of the program, each participant received a certificate, a financial grant of ₦60,000, and essential farming tools, including generators, fertilizers, and spray pumps.

Items donated include “500 bags of fertilizer, 500 water pumps, and 500 chemicals to the beneficiaries across the three local governments of Yola North, Yola South, and Girei. He also provided a cash sum of ₦60,000 to each beneficiary.”

He said, “This initiative is aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity, promoting economic growth, and creating a more prosperous and sustainable future for the people of my constituency.”
