The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested Mr. Joe Ajaero, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja.

According to reports from Vanguard Newspaper, Ajaero was apprehended as he was preparing to board a flight to the United Kingdom for an official engagement.

The exact reasons for his arrest remain unclear at this time.

The arrest of the NLC President has sent shockwaves through the labor movement and raised concerns about the government’s intentions.

Ajaero has been a vocal critic of the government’s policies, particularly those affecting workers’ rights and welfare.

As more details emerge, it is expected that the NLC and other labor unions will respond to the arrest and demand an explanation from the government.
