The Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), Major General Abdulmalik Jibrin (Rtd.), has commended the orderly and transparent conduct of the ongoing 2024/2025 recruitment physical screening exercise at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command.

Major General Jibrin gave the commendation during an oversight visit to the screening centre at the NSCDC Kano State Command Headquarters.

He expressed satisfaction with the smooth and hitch-free exercise, describing the screening process as transparent, well-coordinated and professionally managed.

The Board Secretary praised the discipline, commitment and professionalism displayed by NSCDC personnel, while also appreciating the warm reception extended to him and members of his delegation by the Kano State Command.

In his remarks, the Kano State Commandant, Commandant Mohammed Hassan Agalama IION, thanked the Board Secretary for the visit, describing it as a clear demonstration of the Board’s commitment to ensuring a credible and transparent recruitment process.

He reaffirmed the Command’s loyalty and continued support for the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board in carrying out its statutory responsibilities.

Major General Jibrin was accompanied on the visit by the state heads of the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Federal Fire Service.

The recruitment screening exercise is continuing peacefully and in accordance with the Board’s guidelines, with officials maintaining transparency, discipline and order throughout the process.

The visit featured the presentation of a souvenir to the Board Secretary and a colourful quarter guard mounted in his honour.
