The Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command, CP Rashid B. Afegbua, has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to professional policing, protection of human rights, and strategic partnerships aimed at enhancing public trust, safety, and security across the state.

The Commissioner made the statement while receiving members of the Noble Organization for Solidarity and Development (NOSAD), Calabar, during an advocacy and courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters at Diamond Hill, Calabar.

The delegation, led by the Project Lead, Dr. Innih Archibong, alongside representatives of NOSAD and its partners, engaged the Command on strengthening collaboration towards the effective implementation of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL), protection of human rights, and improved justice delivery in Cross River State.

The meeting was attended by members of the Command Management Team as well as representatives of partner organisations within the justice and human rights sector.

A major highlight of the visit was the presentation of a book to the Commissioner of Police titled: “The Role of Police in the Administration of Criminal Justice in Nigeria (Cross River State).”

CP Afegbua commended NOSAD and its partners for their contributions to justice sector reforms and reiterated the Command’s dedication to professional policing, respect for human rights, and collaborative efforts aimed at strengthening peace, security, and public confidence across the state.
