The Civil Society Action Coalition on Education for All (CSACEFA) has mourned the deaths of five children of Malam Mansir Adamu, who lost their lives in a road accident in Gombe metropolis.
The children died on Tuesday when a water tanker collided with a commercial tricycle conveying them in the Federal Low-Cost area of Gombe, the state capital.
In a condolence message, the coalition, through its representative, Halima Ahmad Mahdi, described the incident as a devastating tragedy that had cut short the lives of five young children with promising futures.
Mahdi said the deaths had plunged the bereaved family, their relatives and the wider community into profound grief. She extended her heartfelt condolences to the parents over their painful loss.
She also commiserated with the management and staff of the schools attended by the deceased children, their classmates and members of the Jekadafari community, describing the tragedy as a collective loss that extended beyond the immediate family.
The CSACEFA representative prayed for the speedy recovery of other children who sustained injuries in the accident, asking Almighty Allah to grant them healing and renewed strength.
“May Almighty Allah forgive the shortcomings of the departed children, grant them Aljannatul Firdaus and give their parents and the entire family the strength, patience and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” she said.
Mahdi further prayed for divine comfort for the bereaved family and urged the public to remember the deceased and all those affected by the tragedy in their prayers.
She also called for prayers for the protection of children and other road users against similar incidents, expressing hope that such tragedies would not recur.
The accident has left the bereaved family, their school communities and residents of the area mourning the loss of the five children.
