Dangote Cement Plc has sponsored the grand inauguration of the Northwest chapter of the Bricklayers Association of Nigeria (BAN), held at Mambayya House, Gwammaja, in Dala Local Government Area of Kano State.

The event was led by the National President of the association, Oyabamiji Taye Dauda, alongside the National Secretary, Alhaji Chief Mohammed Adebayo.

It brought together members and stakeholders from across the seven Northwest states.

The theme of the inauguration was “Traditional Masonry Techniques and Advanced Building Technology in Nigeria: Promoting National Economic Development.”

In his address, the National President urged members of the association to remain united and embrace modern construction techniques to improve professionalism and contribute to national development.

He also called on members to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, stating that Tinubu played a significant role in the establishment of the association during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State in 1999.

Dauda further acknowledged the contributions of the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, describing him as a strong supporter of the association’s growth and development.

During the ceremony, the National President inaugurated the newly elected Northwest State Executive Council (EXCO) members, including Safiyanu Abdullahi Haruna (Kano State Chairman), Ibrahim Mohammed (Jigawa State), Shehu Sani (Katsina State), Abubakar Sabe (Kebbi State), Mohammed Tukure (Sokoto State), and Alhassan Usman Wanke (Zamfara State), while representatives from the remaining state were also inaugurated.

The National President expressed appreciation to Dangote Cement Plc for sponsoring the event and reaffirmed the association’s commitment to promoting professionalism, skills development, and the adoption of modern building technologies across Nigeria.
