The Village Head of Darmanawa, Malam Umar Bello, has conferred traditional titles on Surveyor Hamisu Suleiman Majiya, Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi Karkasara, Jamilu, Abdullahi Mairiga and six other distinguished members of the community in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the development of Darmanawa.

Speaking during the turbaning ceremony, Malam Umar Bello acknowledged the unwavering support of the District Head of Darmanawa, Alhaji Mujitaba Abubakar Abba, as well as the Emir of Kano for their leadership and commitment to the progress of the community.

The village head explained that the ten recipients were carefully selected because of their consistent support for Darmanawa and their selfless service in promoting community development.

He noted that their dedication inspired the traditional council to honour them with the prestigious titles.

Responding on behalf of the newly turbaned title holders, the new Baraden Dagacin Darmanawa, Surveyor Hamisu Suleiman Majiya, thanked Almighty Allah for the opportunity to be among those selected for the honour.

He expressed gratitude to the village head, the district head and the Emir of Kano for finding them worthy of the recognition and prayed for Allah’s continued guidance and blessings upon the traditional institution.

He also prayed for the safe return of all guests who attended the ceremony.

Also speaking, the newly turbaned Majidadin Karkasara, Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi Karkasara, described the honour as a call to greater service.

He pledged to redouble his efforts towards advancing the development of Darmanawa and improving the welfare of its people.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Hon. Abdurrahman Shehu Matawalle, who commended the District Head of Darmanawa and the Emir of Kano for recognising deserving members of the community.

He congratulated his younger brother on the honour and prayed for the continued peace, unity and progress of Darmanawa, as well as the safe journey of all invited guests.
