The Director General of the Kano Social Protection Agency (KASPA), Hon. Fatima Abubakar Abdullahi (Amneef), has congratulated the people of Kano State and Nigerians across the country on the occasion of the 2026 Democracy Day celebration.
In a goodwill message issued to mark the national event, the KASPA Director General described Democracy Day as a significant milestone that reflects Nigeria’s collective commitment to democratic governance, freedom, justice, and the rule of law.
She noted that the annual celebration provides an opportunity for citizens to reflect on the sacrifices of the nation’s democratic heroes and renew their dedication to the principles of accountability, transparency, inclusiveness, and national unity.
Hon. Fatima commended the administration of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, for its unwavering commitment to people-centered governance and policies aimed at improving the welfare and well-being of the people of Kano State.
According to her, the government’s sustained investments in education, healthcare, social welfare, infrastructure, and human capital development continue to deepen public trust and strengthen democratic dividends across the state.
The KASPA Director General reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to implementing impactful social protection programmes that support vulnerable households, reduce poverty, enhance resilience, and promote inclusive development.
“Democracy can only thrive when its benefits are felt by all segments of society, especially the most vulnerable. At KASPA, we remain dedicated to advancing social protection initiatives that safeguard livelihoods, empower communities, and contribute to sustainable socio-economic development,” she stated.
She called on citizens to continue supporting government efforts through peaceful coexistence, active civic participation, and collective responsibility toward building a more prosperous and equitable society.
Hon. Fatima further prayed for continued peace, stability, and progress in Kano State and Nigeria, urging leaders at all levels to remain committed to selfless service and the pursuit of the common good.
