E-World United Football Club of Calabar has emerged victorious at the Calabar Centre of the just concluded Nationwide League One (NLO) competition after defeating Mojoda FC of Calabar 2-0.
Jude Ayibe opened the scoring for E-World United in the 24th minute of the first half, while Uwem Akpan added the second goal in the 35th minute to seal the victory for his side.
Speaking after the match, the captain of E-World United FC, Patrick Kajang, attributed the team’s success to hard work, discipline, and fair play.
He expressed optimism that the team would overcome its Akwa Ibom opponent in the next NLO fixture scheduled to take place in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
In another NLO match played earlier at the same venue, Liberty Lions of Calabar defeated Diamond Stars of Calabar by a lone goal.
