The President of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev. Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat, has described the election of Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, as a divinely ordained development aligned with God’s purpose for the state.

Speaking during a Sunday worship service at the ECWA Headquarters in Jos, Rev. Bagat said Governor Mutfwang’s emergence was orchestrated by God to restore the state and dismantle forces that have hindered its progress.

According to him, the Church remains fully supportive of the governor and will continue to pray for divine protection, wisdom, and guidance as he leads the state with integrity and dignity.

“God has brought Governor Mutfwang to accomplish great things in Plateau. Since his assumption of office, we have seen God using him to dismantle the works of darkness,” Rev. Bagat said.

He noted that despite ongoing security challenges in the state, the Church remains steadfast in faith and confident of eventual peace and victory.

“As a God-fearing denomination, we identify with your leadership. The progress recorded so far is a testament to divine backing,” he added.

Rev. Bagat further assured the governor of the unwavering support of the Christian community, stressing that no form of intimidation would be tolerated.

“Remain focused on your mission. God, who brought you at this critical time, will empower you to deliver Plateau from its challenges,” he urged.

In his response, Governor Mutfwang expressed appreciation to the ECWA leadership and the congregation for their warm reception and continued support.

He said his election was by God’s grace rather than personal merit, and commended the people of Plateau State for their trust and cooperation.

The governor also called for stronger collaboration among communities, faith-based organizations, parents, and security agencies to protect vulnerable children and secure the future of the state.

The Church also offered prayers for Governor Mutfwang and other government officials, asking for divine light, wisdom, righteousness, and clarity of purpose to guide their leadership and dispel every form of darkness in the state.
