The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) says it has 4,989 polling in the units for the October 9th local government election.
While 11 political parties are being screened and are to participate in the October 9th local government elections organised by (PLASIEC).
The Chairman of the Commission, Hon. Plangji Daniel Cishak, disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Jos on Tuesday at the commission on the preparation of the election.
According to him, 21,000 ad-hoc staff have been employed for the conduct of the election and
urged Journalists to always report accurate information with facts, especially during the October 9th 2024, Local government elections.
He appeals for their continued support in building, maintaining and improving the quality they maintain in the commission and are fully prepared for the election.
