From Umar Danladi Ado, Sokoto

The Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Mika’ilu Sami (Sami Gomo III), has made a remarkable gesture by converting a ₦100 million gift from his business partners, Green Way Agrotech, into a donation to the Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru.

This act, according to a statement issued by Abdullahi Idris Zuru, Sadaukin Zuru, underscores the Emir’s deep commitment to education and the welfare of his people.

The Emir directed that the ₦100 million be used specifically for research purposes and the payment of scholarships to qualified indigent students whose parents cannot afford the cost of admission.

Alhaji Sani Mika’ilu Sami said the decision was aimed at complementing the efforts of the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, in improving the standard of education across the state.

He noted that his appointment as Emir was an act of divine destiny, and the donation was a gesture of gratitude to Allah for His blessings and favour.

Observers have described the Emir’s move as a demonstration of visionary leadership and compassion, noting that such support for education could have far-reaching impacts on the socio-economic development of the Zuru Emirate.

By channeling the funds into research and scholarships, the Emir is investing in the intellectual growth and long-term prosperity of his people.
