The member representing Bichi Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar, popularly known as Abba Bichi, has said the Farmo-Farmo electricity project will boost economic activities and improve productivity in Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State.

Abba Bichi stated this during the commissioning of the Bichi Power House, according to a statement issued to our correspondent in Calabar by Hajiya Jamila Abdullahi Rijiyar Lemo.

He said the electricity project would not only benefit Bichi town but also enhance the productivity and economic activities of communities across the local government area.

Abba Bichi congratulated the benefiting communities and urged residents to take advantage of the improved electricity supply to expand their businesses and engage in productive economic activities.

He also listed Tsanyawa, Ghari and Dawanau Market among the beneficiaries, stressing that the project would help unlock the economic potential of the area and reduce dependence on generators.

The Chairman of Bichi Modern Market, Alhaji Garba Tukur, commended the federal lawmaker for his efforts and expressed appreciation for the electricity project.

He assured that traders and residents would make maximum use of the electricity supply to improve their businesses and livelihoods.

Alhaji Tukur said Abba Bichi deserved commendation for his dedication and service to his constituents, adding that the people of the area were grateful for his efforts.

He also appreciated the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) and Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) for their support towards the project.

Speaking at the commissioning, Engineer Ahmad Garko of TCN, Engineer Sabi’u Haruna of KEDCO, and the Danzabuwa Village Head also welcomed the project, describing it as an important development that would benefit the communities.
