Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the appointment of Chief Aminu Kardu Tsigiya as the new Provost of the Adamawa State College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Ganye.

Tsigiya’s appointment followed the recommendation of the Governing Council after he emerged top during the screening and examination process for the position.

Governor Fintiri also approved the appointment of Yusuf Haman Adama as the Registrar of the institution, while Mustapha Baba Nasir was named the College Librarian.

The appointments, according to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, take immediate effect.

Congratulating the new Provost and the two senior management officials, Fintiri charged them to lead the institution with “wisdom, integrity and dedication.”

He urged Tsigiya to work closely with the management team to reposition the college, improve academic standards and strengthen practical skills training for students.

The governor further advised the appointees to prioritise innovation, research, and community engagement to ensure the institution remains a driving force for agricultural development in Adamawa State and beyond.
