The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Murtala Sule Garo, has called for stronger collaboration among government agencies and parastatals to enhance service delivery and improve governance in the state.

Garo made the call on Wednesday while receiving representatives of the Forum of Government Agencies and Parastatals during a courtesy visit to his office in Kano.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Acting Public Relations Officer in the Office of the Deputy Governor, Na’ima Musa Umar.

According to the statement, the deputy governor said effective governance requires sustained cooperation and coordination among public institutions.

He stressed that the present administration would continue to promote purposeful leadership and policies aimed at improving the wellbeing of residents.

“Strong partnership and collaboration among government institutions remain vital for effective service delivery and administrative cohesion,” Garo said.

He added that the government would continue to encourage constructive engagement across public establishments to strengthen governance and public confidence.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Alhaji Tukur Bala Sagagi, said the visit was to congratulate the deputy governor on his assumption of office and extend goodwill following his swearing-in.

Sagagi described Garo as a public servant distinguished by administrative competence, political maturity and a strong connection with grassroots governance.

He expressed optimism that the administration would deepen institutional cooperation and improve operational coordination among agencies.

According to him, such efforts would strengthen governance driven by public interest and collective responsibility.

Those present at the meeting included the Managing Director of Kano State Radio Corporation, Abubakar Adamu Rano; Executive Secretary of Kano State Health Trust Fund, Dr Fatima Usman Zahradeen; and Executive Secretary of Kano State Contributory Health Care Management Agency, Dr Rahia Aliyu Mukhtar, among others.
