Governor Dauda Lawal has reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing full support to security operatives working to restore peace and stability in Zamfara State.
The governor gave the assurance on Thursday while presiding over the weekly State Security Council meeting at the Government House in Gusau.
A statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, said the meeting was attended by heads of all security agencies operating in the state and focused on strengthening security operations in volatile areas.
According to the statement, Governor Lawal reaffirmed his administration’s determination to enhance support for troops engaged in security operations across the state.
He assured the security chiefs of his readiness to take all necessary measures to ensure the welfare and operational effectiveness of personnel deployed to combat insecurity.
The meeting also reviewed strategies for reinforcing troop presence in vulnerable communities and improving rapid response to security emergencies.
Governor Lawal stressed that ensuring a peaceful and secure Zamfara remains the top priority of his administration, adding that his office would continue to remain open and accessible to all security agencies in the collective effort to address security challenges in the state.
