Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has commended the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for securing approval for the construction of a dam in Kanke Local Government Area of the state.
In a message of appreciation, Governor Mutfwang described the project as a significant intervention that will address the persistent water scarcity affecting communities in the area.
He said that, when completed, the dam will provide access to potable water, improve sanitation and hygiene, expand irrigation opportunities, boost agricultural productivity, and enhance the overall quality of life of residents.
The governor noted that the project demonstrates Prof. Yilwatda’s commitment to improving the socio-economic well-being of rural communities through practical and people-oriented leadership.
He further stated that the intervention complements the Plateau State Government’s efforts to deliver sustainable development and promote inclusive growth across the state.
Governor Mutfwang reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to collaborating with the Federal Government, development partners, philanthropic individuals, the private sector, and political leaders who facilitate meaningful development projects for the benefit of the people.
He also assured Prof. Yilwatda of his prayers, solidarity, and unwavering support in his role as APC National Chairman, expressing confidence in his ability to provide purposeful leadership and attract more federal projects and opportunities to Plateau State.
On behalf of the government and the peace-loving people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang expressed profound appreciation to Prof. Yilwatda for what he described as a laudable achievement and a significant contribution to the development of Kanke Local Government Area and the state as a whole.
He prayed that Almighty God would grant the APC National Chairman good health, wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as he continues to serve the nation. :::
