From Muawuya Bala Idris, Katsina
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, Abdulaziz Maituraka, has dismissed reports of an internal crisis within the party, insisting that the APC remains united and formidable ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Maituraka spoke during the disbursement of over N162 million donated by former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, to party ward coordinators. The event was held at Ameera Event Centre on Sunday.
He said the party remained united as one family, working under the guidance of its elders, and expressed confidence that all APC candidates in the state would win the 2027 elections.
“We are confident that President Tinubu, Governor Radda and all other candidates will win the 2027 elections,” Maituraka declared.
He commended former Governor Masari for the donation and urged the ward coordinators to ensure that the money reached the five members selected from each ward across the state.
Earlier, the APC State Chairman, Bishir Saulawa, who supervised the disbursement, expressed appreciation for the unity within the party.
Saulawa thanked the party elders for supporting his leadership, recalling Masari’s contributions to reconciling aggrieved members following the party’s primary elections.
He also urged party members to abide by the party’s rules and regulations and refrain from displaying weapons during campaigns.
Speaking on behalf of the ward coordinators, Bala Mafia pledged to mobilise support for the party’s victory in 2027.
He also called on other party elders to provide further support and encouragement to the coordinators.
