From Mu’awuya Bala Idris, Katsina
Dikko Umaru Radda has extended heartfelt Eid-el-Adha greetings to Muslims in Katsina State, across Nigeria, and around the world, urging citizens to pray for peace, security, and national unity during the sacred period.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Governor Radda described the Eid-el-Adha celebration as a timeless reminder of the virtues of faith, obedience, and selfless sacrifice, values he said should guide both leaders and citizens alike.
The Governor noted that the Day of Arafat, regarded as the spiritual peak of the Hajj season, offers a unique opportunity for believers to seek Allah’s mercy and blessings through sincere prayers.
He therefore called on Muslims in Katsina State and beyond to use the sacred occasion to pray fervently for enduring peace, improved security, and lasting tranquillity across the state and Nigeria as a whole.
Reflecting on the significance of Eid-el-Adha, Governor Radda said the supreme act of obedience demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim serves as a spiritual compass for leadership, especially during challenging times.
He also wished all Muslim pilgrims currently performing the Hajj a spiritually rewarding and safe pilgrimage, praying that Allah accepts their acts of worship and grants them Hajj Mabrur.
The Governor further urged Muslims to use the Eid season to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, show kindness to the less privileged, and uphold the values of compassion, generosity, and communal harmony which form the foundation of Islam.
Governor Radda reaffirmed the commitment of the “Building Your Future” administration to the welfare, security, and development of all residents of Katsina State, irrespective of religion or ethnic background, pledging continued dedication to the service of the people.
