Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has said adequate publicity and public enlightenment on the programmes and achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration will convince Nigerians, particularly Northerners, to support and campaign for the President’s re-election in 2027.
This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Thursday.
Governor Yusuf stated this on Thursday when members of Triple R Kannyhood paid a solidarity visit to the Government House, Kano.
He said the emergence of Triple R Kannyhood would strengthen publicity and public enlightenment on the policies, programmes and achievements of the Tinubu administration across the country.
According to him, effective grassroots mobilisation and communication would enable citizens to better understand the efforts of the Federal Government and its impact on their lives.
The governor described President Tinubu as a patriotic Nigerian committed to infrastructural development and improving the living conditions of citizens.
Governor Yusuf commended the leadership of Triple R Kannyhood for its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying their experience and grassroots mobilisation would contribute significantly to the party’s electoral success.
He expressed confidence that APC candidates contesting the presidential, National Assembly, governorship and state assembly elections would emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections.
The governor assured members of the group that their requests and concerns would receive due consideration, both before and after the 2027 elections.
Earlier, the leader of Triple R Kannyhood, Dauda Adamu Kahutu Rarara, said the two organisations had resolved to unite with the objective of supporting the APC and mobilising for its victory in the 2027 general elections.
Rarara said the organisation had thousands of members and a large following across various social media platforms, adding that its members were ready to voluntarily mobilise support for the APC at all levels.
He said their post-election requests included provision of start-up capital for members, allocation of plots of land for housing and provision of a secretariat for the organisation in Kano.
Rarara thanked Governor Yusuf and his associates for the warm reception accorded the group.
Other speakers at the visit included the Kano Chairman of Triple R Kannyhood, Alhaji Ado Gidan Dabinu; Lawan Ahmad; and the organisation’s Women Leader, Hadiza Sema.
They all assured the governor of their support and commitment to mobilising for the success of the APC across the country.
