Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Engr. Yusuf Abdullahi (Baba), a respected engineer, Islamic scholar and community leader, who passed away recently.
The deceased was the immediate younger brother of the Kano State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Children and the Disabled, Hon. Amina Abdullahi Sani, and a close associate of renowned Islamic scholar, Professor Sheikh Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan.
Engr. Yusuf Abdullahi was also a dedicated member of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), where he contributed immensely to the propagation of Islam and community development.
In a condolence message issued by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in Kano on Tuesday, Governor Yusuf described the late engineer as a humble, God-fearing and compassionate person whose contributions to engineering, religious activities and humanitarian services earned him widespread respect.
The governor said the death of Engr. Yusuf Abdullahi was a great loss to his immediate family, the JIBWIS community, the engineering profession and the people of Kano State.
Governor Yusuf extended his condolences to Hon. Amina Abdullahi Sani, Professor Sheikh Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan, the leadership and members of JIBWIS, as well as the entire Abdullahi family.
He prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family the strength and patience to bear the irreparable loss.
