Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of former Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, who died yesterday after a prolonged illness.
This was contained in a condolence message issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, in Kano on Sunday.
Governor Yusuf described the late Galadima as an accomplished sports administrator, a respected statesman, and a community leader who devoted his life to the advancement of football and public service in Nigeria.
He noted that during his tenure as NFF Chairman, Galadima made significant contributions to the growth and development of football in the country, earning widespread respect and admiration within and beyond the sporting community.
The Governor added that the late Galadima’s enduring legacy of integrity, dedication, and exemplary leadership will continue to inspire generations to come.
On behalf of the Government and people of Kano State, Governor Yusuf extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Nigerian football fraternity over this great loss.
He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the deceased’s shortcomings, grants him eternal rest, and admits him into Aljannatul Firdaus.
