…As the governor promised improvement of the 2025 Hajj operation

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has received the 2024 Hajj report with a promise to improve the 2025 Hajj operations and pilgrims’ welfare in the state.

The governor pledged at Africa House, Government House, on Friday when the management of the state Pilgrims Board led by the Director General, Lamin Dan Bappa, presented the report of the 2024 Hajj Report operations.

Governor Yusuf promised to ensure that, services for the next exercise are improved upon as well as the welfare of the pilgrims.

The governor who was elated with the testimonies of the people on how the 2024 Kano pilgrims were treated by officials of the state Pilgrims Board, described the 2024 Hajj as the most successful one.

”Our government has earned widespread acclaim for its exceptional handling of the 2024 Hajj operations, with Ulamas and pilgrims alike praising our efforts.

”Our commitment to pilgrims’ comfort and well-being was evident in the seamless operations, addressing major concerns such as accommodation and food.’

”The governor’s support extended beyond logistics, providing additional financial assistance of N500,000 to each pilgrim, supplemented by Alhaji Ibrahim Mijinyawa’s donation of 150,000 Riyals.

The exemplary service earned Kano State international recognition, attracting more international pilgrims and awards from Hajj monitors.

Earlier speaking, the state Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwazo, who served as the 2024 Amirul Hajj, lauded the governor’s efforts, describing the 2024 Hajj operations as a “day of reckoning” and a “report equal to 10.”

The deputy highlighted that challenges such as helmet and toilet shortages were identified.

”These were attributed to national issues, with the state government pledging to address them in future,” Comrade Gwarzo said.

The Triumph reports that the Kano State Government has commenced preparations for the 2025 Hajj, ensuring continuity and improvement.

It would be recalled that Governor Yusuf received an award at Eagle Square for education, while ”Today, Alhaji Laminu Rabiu Danbappa was recognized as the best coordinator by international Hajj reporters, ensuring continuity and improvement,” he praised.
