The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State, Barrister Kashim Musa Tumsah, has pledged not to betray the trust of the people if elected as governor of the state.

Tumsah made the assurance while expressing appreciation to the people of Yobe State following what he described as a massive and overwhelming reception during his nearly three-day working visit across parts of the state.

He said the warm turnout and show of solidarity demonstrated by supporters, community leaders, and residents have further strengthened his determination to serve with dedication and accountability.

“Mai taken bazan taba baku kunya ba matukar kun zabe ni matsayin Gwamnan Yobe,” he declared, promising to justify the confidence of the electorate if given the mandate.

According to him, the visit provided him with the opportunity to better understand the challenges facing various communities as well as the aspirations of the people for improved governance and development.

Tumsah noted that his vision for Yobe State is anchored on transparency, youth empowerment, infrastructural development and economic growth, stressing that meaningful progress can only be achieved through unity and collective responsibility.

He also commended the residents for maintaining peace and order throughout his engagements, describing the people of Yobe as resilient, hospitable and hopeful for a better future.

The APC governorship hopeful urged his supporters to remain peaceful and focused, adding that the coming political season should be guided by issue-based campaigns rather than division or bitterness.

His visit has continued to attract attention across the state political landscape, with observers noting the growing momentum surrounding his consultations and engagements ahead of the next general elections.
