IFING Media has successfully hosted a conference on Islamic finance, bringing together stakeholders from different sectors to discuss the role of Islamic finance in promoting entrepreneurship and economic development.
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of an award to renowned estate developer Alhaji Abdulmalik Mahadi in recognition of his outstanding contributions to supporting entrepreneurs.
In his welcome address, the Chief Executive Officer of IFING Media, Alhaji Mudansir, thanked Almighty God for granting participants the opportunity to witness the conference.
He described this year’s edition as the most credible so far, noting that it attracted participants from all walks of life.
Presenting the award, the Managing Director of IFING Media, Mallam Mudansir, said Alhaji Abdulmalik Mahadi deserved even greater recognition because of his consistent support for entrepreneurs and small businesses through his philanthropic activities.
Receiving the award, Alhaji Abdulmalik Mahadi expressed gratitude to IFING Media for recognising his efforts.
He pledged to intensify his support for entrepreneurs and continue contributing to economic empowerment initiatives.
Speaking at the conference, Professor Mustafa Abubakar, a senior lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, commended IFING Media for organising the event and described it as a timely initiative capable of promoting financial inclusion and sustainable development.
Also speaking, Mallam Ali Shariffai, on behalf of IFING Media, urged the governments of all 36 states of the federation to embrace Islamic finance programmes as a strategy for reducing unemployment and stimulating economic growth.
He also appealed to wealthy individuals and corporate organisations to support the initiative by sponsoring Hausa-language radio jingles to create awareness among rural communities, stressing that such campaigns would help expand knowledge of Islamic finance and promote entrepreneurship across the country.
