Jigawa State Governor Mallam Umar Namadi has announced the passing of his dear mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar.
According to a statement released by the Governor’s spokesperson, Muhammad Hamisu Gumel, the revered matriarch passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
The Governor, in a message of deep sorrow and submission to the will of Allah, called for prayers for the repose of her soul.
In line with Islamic traditions, the burial rites will be held today at 4:30 PM in her hometown of Kafin Hausa.
Governor Namadi, alongside his family, has requested the public to remember the departed in their prayers, seeking Allah’s mercy and eternal rest for her in Jannah.
The Governor also expressed his gratitude for the support and condolences extended during this difficult time.
The family remains in mourning as they navigate this profound loss.
