The Chairman of Kabo Local Government Area, Hon. Lawan Najume, has called on residents of Kano State to continue supporting the administration of Abba Kabir Yusuf, saying its achievements across critical sectors have earned renewed public confidence.

Speaking in an interview, Najume said the governor had demonstrated a strong commitment to improving the lives of citizens through strategic investments in education, agriculture, healthcare, water supply and road infrastructure.

He described the payment of salaries to newly recruited teachers before they officially resumed duty as one of the administration’s most remarkable decisions, saying it reflected the governor’s commitment to workers’ welfare.

The chairman also commended the state’s teacher recruitment drive, noting that it had strengthened the education sector.

He further highlighted the government’s sponsorship of candidates for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), expressing optimism that many beneficiaries would secure admission into higher institutions this year.

On agriculture, Najume praised the distribution of subsidised fertiliser to farmers, saying the exercise in Kabo Local Government was conducted transparently without any reported cases of diversion or loss.

According to him, the programme has boosted farming activities and enhanced food production.

He also listed the rehabilitation of the Guzu-Guzu Water Works, the construction and rehabilitation of roads, improved maternal healthcare services, and the provision of equipment to Garo Hospital as key projects that have positively impacted communities in the area.

He noted that some of the roads had remained abandoned for decades before the present administration revived them.

Najume further applauded the government’s youth empowerment initiatives, including the allocation of plots of land to party supporters and the state mass wedding programme, Auren Gata, which he said had eased the financial burden on many families while stimulating local economic activities.

He urged eligible voters to participate actively in the ongoing voter registration exercise and continue supporting the administration, expressing confidence that its candidates would enjoy widespread grassroots support in future elections because of what he described as the government’s developmental achievements.
