The Kano State Deputy Governor, Murtala Sule Garo, on Saturday represented Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the funeral prayer for the mother of the Deputy Managing Director of the Kano Road and Traffic Agency, Auwal Lawan Shuaibu Aranposu.
The funeral prayer was held behind Gwagwarwa Police Station Brigade in Kano, where Garo joined the family and other sympathisers to offer prayers for the deceased.
After the Janaza, the deputy governor accompanied the family to Ahmadiyya Cemetery, Brigade, where the deceased was buried.
Garo prayed to Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, have mercy on her and grant her eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
He also prayed for Allah to grant the bereaved family patience, comfort and strength to bear the loss.
The funeral was attended by government officials, political associates, community members and other sympathisers who joined the family in paying their last respects.
The deputy governor conveyed Governor Yusuf’s condolences to the family and prayed for divine comfort during the period of mourning.
