The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Sunday paid condolence visits to several bereaved families in Kabo and Nasarawa Local Government Areas of the state, praying for the repose of the deceased and urging their relatives to accept the losses as the will of Allah.

During the visits, Garo first visited his hometown of Garo in Kabo Local Government Area, where he condoled with the family of a former Chairman of the Community Reorientation Council in Kabo, Alhaji Auwalu Usaini Garo, over the death of his 12-year-old son, Aliyu, popularly known as Haidar.

The deceased reportedly died in a road accident last Sunday.

The deputy governor expressed sympathy to the family and prayed for Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.

Garo also visited the family of the late Malam Rabo Shafiu Kofar Fada, who died last Saturday at the age of 80 after a prolonged illness.

The deceased, who was the father of Isyaku Rabiu, a classmate of the deputy governor, is survived by his wife, eight children and several grandchildren.

While addressing family members, Garo described the late Malam Rabo as a respected community figure whose contributions would be remembered by many.

He urged the family to remain steadfast in faith and prayed for Allah to grant them the strength to bear the loss.

The deputy governor also paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Alhaji Garba Zangon Kabo in Kabo town.

Alhaji Garba died last Wednesday at the age of 87 and is survived by 10 children and many grandchildren.

Among his children are Hon. Ibrahim Zango, Special Adviser to the Chairman of Kabo Local Government Council, and Dr Mansur Zango.

Garo described the deceased as a respected elder whose life was devoted to community service and family development.

He prayed for Allah’s mercy upon him and urged members of the family to uphold the values he stood for during his lifetime.

In a related development, the deputy governor visited the family of the late Hajiya Sa’adatu Muhammad in Dakata Kawaji area of Nasarawa Local Government Area.

Hajiya Sa’adatu died on Saturday night at the age of 65 and is survived by 10 children, including Alhaji Usman, popularly known as Usman EFCC, a close associate of the deputy governor.

During the visit, Garo offered prayers for the deceased and urged members of the family to take solace in the fact that death is an inevitable part of life.

“We pray that Almighty Allah forgives their shortcomings, grants them Aljannatul Firdaus and gives their families the strength and fortitude to bear these irreparable losses,” the deputy governor said.

He also reaffirmed the Kano State Government’s commitment to identifying with families during moments of grief and offering support where necessary.
