The Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Youth and Sports Development Hon.Sani Musa Danja, has said that the ongoing reforms of the Abba Kabir Yusuf-led administration are steadily restoring public trust and repositioning Kano State for accelerated development.
Speaking with journalists, Hon. Danja described the present administration as reform-driven and people-focused, noting that its policies are beginning to yield visible results across key sectors of the state economy and social life.
He said Governor Yusuf government has demonstrated clear commitment to governance through targeted interventions in education, healthcare, infrastructure, pension management and youth empowerment.
According to him, the administration’s development agenda is anchored on improving the welfare of citizens while ensuring that governance directly responds to the daily challenges faced by the people.
Hon. Danja stressed that education remains a top priority, with ongoing efforts to rehabilitate schools, improve learning conditions and expand access to quality education for children across the state.
He added that the healthcare sector is also receiving renewed attention, with measures aimed at strengthening facilities and improving service delivery at both primary and secondary levels.
On infrastructure, he noted that road projects and community development initiatives are helping to improve connectivity, boost economic activities, and open up rural and urban areas for growth.
The governor’s aide further highlighted pension reforms as one of the notable achievements of the administration, saying retirees are now experiencing improved welfare support and more efficient payment processes.
He also pointed to ongoing civil service reforms aimed at enhancing productivity, accountability, and professionalism within government institutions.
On youth development, Hon. Danja said the state government is intensifying efforts to address unemployment through skills acquisition programmes, entrepreneurship support and empowerment initiatives designed to promote self-reliance among young people.
He explained that his office is working with relevant agencies to expand opportunities for youths in sports, agriculture, technology, and vocational training as part of a broader strategy for human capital development.
Speaking on sports, he commended the government’s continued commitment to strengthening Kano Pillars F.C. assuring that deliberate steps are being taken to stabilize the club and improve its competitive performance.
He added that sports remain a key pillar of the administration youth engagement strategy, serving as a tool for unity, talent development and economic empowerment.
Hon. Danja maintained that Governor Yusuf’s long-term vision is to build a more prosperous Kano where governance delivers tangible impact, opportunities are expanded and citizens enjoy improved quality of life.
He urged residents of the state to continue supporting the administration, assuring that more impactful projects and reforms are underway to further strengthen development across Kano State.
