The resilience exhibited by Naziru Alhassan Madobi, a KAROTA Officer has led to the final discovery of a stolen car from an Event Center along Lawan Danbazau road by a former IGP resident in Kano Metropolis.
The incident which occurred Thursday night was first alerted by good samaritans who also happened to be fuel attendants at Aliko filling station near the event center.
The Karrota officer who closes for work from his duty post happened to made a stop over at the Aliko filling station, but having sense for an abnormal situation with the car thief, the Karota personnel inquire to know what was happening and was told by the fuel attendants that someone was trying to steal a car, but before they know it, he kicks started the car and zoomed off with high speed.
It was at that point, the resilient Karota officer, Naziru Alhassan Madobi pursued the thief passing through Gandun Albasa to Bashir Tofa residence to Baba Ahmed University road Sharada to A A Rano filling station and back to Dan Agundi Rumfa College road, knocking down several passers by, but still pursuing the car thief up to Tukuntawa Cemetery where he finally crashed the car into a culvert.
It was at that point with the assistance of a huge crowd the car thief was apprehended and about to be lynched, but the dogged Karota officer intervened to save his life and he immediately informed the Sharada Police station and was arrested for questioning.
Shedding light on the arrest and further investigation, Naziru Madobi said the police had discovered that the suspect who hails from Bauchi state belongs to a car theft syndicate which also led to the discovery of several stolen cars from the group.
Commending the officer’s exceptional conduct, the Managing Director of KAROTA, Hon. Faisal Mahmud Kabir, praised Madobi for his bravery, professionalism and dedication to duty.
He assured that the agency would continue to recognise and reward officers who demonstrate excellence and commitment in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He also urged other KAROTA personnel to emulate Madobi’s exemplary service and uphold the agency’s standards of professionalism.
On his part, the husband of the car owner, Hon Habibu Baballe Ila appreciated the patriotism exhibited by Naziru Madobi and commended the Managing Director and the entire management staff of KAROTA for the sound moral conduct and training of their personnel.
