From Mu’awuya Bala Idris, Katsina
A frontline politician in Katsina State, Engineer Musa Abdullahi, has declared his intention to contest for the position of Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
Abdullahi said his decision to seek the party’s top position was driven by the need to reposition the APC for greater internal cohesion, electoral success and sustainable development in Katsina State.
“I am contesting to introduce meaningful reforms that will change the face of our great party and contribute to the overall development of the state,” he said.
The APC chairmanship aspirant made the declaration at a gathering attended by his political associates, university lecturers and business leaders.
He stressed that the party required vibrant and new leadership to improve its performance and strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of future elections.
Abdullahi said he was inspired to declare his ambition after closely observing what he described as the inclusive leadership style of Governor Dikko Umar Radda.
According to him, the governor’s approach to governance and commitment to development motivated him to contribute more actively to strengthening the party.
“I have been monitoring the performance of Governor Radda, and I am impressed with how he is managing the affairs of the state and working tirelessly to improve the lives of the people,” he said.
The aspirant promised that, if elected, his tenure would be guided by inclusiveness and an open-door policy that would allow all party members to contribute to decision-making.
“We will carry everyone along and allow members to make inputs on issues affecting the party. There will be no victimisation or maltreatment of anyone for personal interests,” he assured.
Abdullahi further pledged to unite party members and engage critical political stakeholders across the state to strengthen the APC and ensure victory in the 2027 general elections.
He also called on youths, particularly professionals and educated individuals, to participate actively in politics, saying their involvement was crucial to promoting good governance and societal development.
