The Katsina State Government has disbursed N38 million to victims of bandit attacks in the Musawa and Sabuwa local government areas.
The beneficiaries of the government’s assistance include families of those who lost loved ones, injured persons, and rescued victims.
The Senior Special Assistant on Banditry and Internally Displaced Persons, Saidu Ibrahim Danja, distributed the funds on behalf of the state government.
Danja explained that the victims in Musawa Local Government benefited from the assistance in areas such as Jiksmshi, Bakan Tuga, and several villages.
In Sabuwa Local Government, the funds were distributed to victims in Dungun Muazu, Unguwar Leko, Damari, Unguwar Rimi, Albasu, and other villages.
Danja also announced that the government would sponsor the education of children whose parents were killed by bandits.
He called for continued prayers to end the insecurity problem in the state.
In his speech, the Chairman of Sabuwa Local Government, Faruk Sabuwa, commended the government for its support to the victims.
He urged those who received the assistance to make good use of it.
